Climate

  • Norway has a varied climate depending on the region. Coastal areas have milder winters and cooler summers due to the Gulf Stream, while inland and northern regions can experience cold, snowy winters and relatively warm summers. Summer days are long and can be mild to warm, while winter is ideal for snow activities and viewing the Northern Lights. Always check the weather for your specific travel dates and pack appropriately.

In restaurants, it's common to round up the bill or leave 5–10% for good service. Tipping taxi drivers and hotel staff is also optional but welcome if the service is exceptional.

Dining Etiquette

  • Norwegians tend to eat earlier than in southern Europe, with dinner usually between 5 and 7 PM. Meals are generally casual but polite. Tipping isn’t expected, but appreciated for excellent service. It's common to clear your own tray in more casual or self-service establishments.

Safety

  • Norway is considered one of the safest countries in the world for travelers. However, as in any popular destination, be mindful of your belongings in crowded areas and follow general travel safety practices.

Local Customs

  • Norwegians value personal space, punctuality, and politeness. A firm handshake and eye contact are common when greeting. It’s appreciated to remove your shoes when entering someone’s home, and to say "takk" (thank you) often when receiving help or service.

Cultural Sites

  • Norway is rich in natural and cultural beauty. From the historic Bryggen Wharf in Bergen to the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo and the UNESCO-listed fjords, there are many sites to explore. Some museums and cultural attractions offer free or discounted entry on certain days, so check ahead to plan your visits efficiently.

I was very pleased with the service that I received from evolution35 travel company. Our 9 day trip to Cancún was wonderful time in this beautiful country. The resorts that evolution35 chose for our stay were all wonderful! Evolution35 people was in constant communication with us via email and WhatsApp asking how the trip was going and if we had any concerns or requests and when I did have a request they responded immediately and took care of it. Everything including tours and transportation were taken care of for us so it was very relaxing knowing we did not have to think about anything except when and where we were going next. Evolution35 also worked hard to ensure that we have a wonderful time during our stay in Cancun an that we return home safe. We are planing a trip to Costa Rica with Evolution35 in October.

Our Happy Clients

The Paris 99 trip was great. We enjoyed the driving tour of Paris, although we did fall asleep a few times as we were tired from the overnight flight from SLC. Our guide, Pedro, provided excellent information on the history of Paris and the sites we saw. The tour of Versailles was excellent, but we do wish we could have spent a little more time there. The Eifel Tower was amazing but felt a little rushed. The dinner on the Seine was excellent. Thank you for a great trip.

We did the Costa Rica trip and it was incredible. Zipline, rainforest, boat rides, catamaran. It
was soooo much trip for the money. Loved the hotel Tabacón with the hot springs and the
Westin was also 5 star! You go from the Carribean side to the Pacific. It's the trip of a
lifetime. Well done evolution35

Fantastic trip to Paris with Evolution 35. Between booking our trip and the time we left, we had lots of questions and they were always so quick to respond to our emails. It was so wonderful that they took care of many details of our trip for us, especially the first couple of days as we were getting oriented in a foreign place! Our tour guide was hilarious and knowledgeable. He helped us stay safe and have a lot of fun too! A great experience for us!

Our Happy Clients

¡Gracias!
