Tips

  • Tipping in Puerto Rico is customary but not mandatory, and it’s a thoughtful gesture to acknowledge exceptional service. In restaurants, a tip of 15-20% of the bill is standard for great service. For housekeeping staff at hotels, leaving $1-2 per day is appreciated. When using taxis, it’s common to round up the fare as a tip. For tour guides, consider tipping $5-10 per person if the service exceeds expectations. While tipping is not required, it is a kind way to show gratitude for excellent hospitality.

Currency

  • Puerto Rico uses the U.S. Dollar (USD). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but carrying some cash is useful for smaller establishments or remote areas.

Transportation

Cuisine

  • Puerto Rican cuisine, also known as cocina criolla, is a blend of Spanish, African, and Taino influences. Don’t miss local dishes like mofongo, lechón, and pasteles. Coffee lovers should try locally grown Puerto Rican coffee, known for its rich flavor.

Shopping

  • Local artisans sell handmade crafts like jewelry, pottery, and wood carvings, which make for great souvenirs. Don’t forget to bring home a bottle of Puerto Rican rum, such as Bacardí or Don Q.

Our Happy Clients

I was very pleased with the service that I received from evolution35 travel company. Our 9 day trip to Cancún was wonderful time in this beautiful country. The resorts that evolution35 chose for our stay were all wonderful! Evolution35 people was in constant communication with us via email and WhatsApp asking how the trip was going and if we had any concerns or requests and when I did have a request they responded immediately and took care of it. Everything including tours and transportation were taken care of for us so it was very relaxing knowing we did not have to think about anything except when and where we were going next. Evolution35 also worked hard to ensure that we have a wonderful time during our stay in Cancun an that we return home safe. We are planing a trip to Costa Rica with Evolution35 in October.

Our Happy Clients

The Paris 99 trip was great. We enjoyed the driving tour of Paris, although we did fall asleep a few times as we were tired from the overnight flight from SLC. Our guide, Pedro, provided excellent information on the history of Paris and the sites we saw. The tour of Versailles was excellent, but we do wish we could have spent a little more time there. The Eifel Tower was amazing but felt a little rushed. The dinner on the Seine was excellent. Thank you for a great trip.

We did the Costa Rica trip and it was incredible. Zipline, rainforest, boat rides, catamaran. It
was soooo much trip for the money. Loved the hotel Tabacón with the hot springs and the
Westin was also 5 star! You go from the Carribean side to the Pacific. It's the trip of a
lifetime. Well done evolution35

Our Happy Clients

Fantastic trip to Paris with Evolution 35. Between booking our trip and the time we left, we had lots of questions and they were always so quick to respond to our emails. It was so wonderful that they took care of many details of our trip for us, especially the first couple of days as we were getting oriented in a foreign place! Our tour guide was hilarious and knowledgeable. He helped us stay safe and have a lot of fun too! A great experience for us!

Our Happy Clients

¡Gracias!
