Yes, U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter the Bahamas. For cruise travel, a passport card may be accepted in some cases, but a passport book is strongly recommended. Travelers from other countries must have a valid passport.

What is the currency used in the Bahamas?

The official currency is the Bahamian Dollar (BSD), which is typically equal in value to the U.S. Dollar (USD). U.S. Dollars are widely accepted throughout the islands, though having some local currency can be useful for small purchases.

Do I need a visa to visit the Bahamas?

Citizens of the United States, Canada, the UK, and many other countries can visit visa-free for up to 90 days. Travelers from countries not on the visa-exempt list will need to apply for a visa before arrival. Check travel requirements here.

What is the best time to visit the Bahamas?

The most popular time to visit is from December to April, when the weather is warm, sunny, and dry. For fewer crowds and lower prices, consider traveling between May and November, keeping in mind that this period overlaps with hurricane season.

What is the weather like in the Bahamas?

The Bahamas has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round, generally ranging from 70°F (21°C) to 90°F (32°C). Summers can be hot and humid, while winters tend to be more comfortable with cooler breezes.

Are there any health requirements to enter the Bahamas?

There are typically no mandatory vaccinations required for entry. However, travelers should be up to date on routine vaccinations. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate may be required if arriving from certain countries where the disease is present. Travel insurance is recommended, check that here.

Are there any other health and safety rules I should be aware of?

Most travelers do not need special vaccinations. However, if you are arriving from or transiting through a country with a risk of Yellow Fever, you must show proof of vaccination completed at least 10 days before arrival.

Are there unique Bahamian eats?

Yes, Bahamian cuisine is known for fresh seafood and bold flavors. Popular dishes include conch fritters and stone crab claws. Local drinks include Kalik beer and the Goombay Smash, a tropical cocktail made with rum and fruit juices.

The islands are also historically significant, as Christopher Columbus first landed here in 1492. All the details were taken care of. Our tour guide was personable, knows the history and all of the interesting facts, entertaining, and gracious. This is our first tour with Evolution35, but it won’t be our last. We are already planning our next trip to Italy with them.

Our Happy Clients

I was very pleased with the service that I received from evolution35 travel company. Our 9 day trip to Cancún was wonderful time in this beautiful country. The resorts that evolution35 chose for our stay were all wonderful! Evolution35 people was in constant communication with us via email and WhatsApp asking how the trip was going and if we had any concerns or requests and when I did have a request they responded immediately and took care of it. Everything including tours and transportation were taken care of for us so it was very relaxing knowing we did not have to think about anything except when and where we were going next. Evolution35 also worked hard to ensure that we have a wonderful time during our stay in Cancun an that we return home safe. We are planing a trip to Costa Rica with Evolution35 in October.

Our Happy Clients

The Paris 99 trip was great. We enjoyed the driving tour of Paris, although we did fall asleep a few times as we were tired from the overnight flight from SLC. Our guide, Pedro, provided excellent information on the history of Paris and the sites we saw. The tour of Versailles was excellent, but we do wish we could have spent a little more time there. The Eifel Tower was amazing but felt a little rushed. The dinner on the Seine was excellent. Thank you for a great trip.

We did the Costa Rica trip and it was incredible. Zipline, rainforest, boat rides, catamaran. It
was soooo much trip for the money. Loved the hotel Tabacón with the hot springs and the
Westin was also 5 star! You go from the Carribean side to the Pacific. It's the trip of a
lifetime. Well done evolution35

Our Happy Clients

Fantastic trip to Paris with Evolution 35. Between booking our trip and the time we left, we had lots of questions and they were always so quick to respond to our emails. It was so wonderful that they took care of many details of our trip for us, especially the first couple of days as we were getting oriented in a foreign place! Our tour guide was hilarious and knowledgeable. He helped us stay safe and have a lot of fun too! A great experience for us!

Our Happy Clients

¡Gracias!
